Kostina Svetlana [mezzo-soprano]

She was born in Tver in 1994.
She is a graduate of the Galina Vishnevskaya College of Music and Theater Arts. She’s currently a third year student at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class by prof. Agin).
She debuted in the opera studio of Speransky Russian Music Academy as Cherubino (Mozart, The Marriage of Figaro) and Olga (Tchaikovsky, Eugene Onegin).
Her repertoire includes: Marina Mniszek, the Inn-keeper (Mussorgsky, Boris Godunov), Olga, Larina (Tchaikovsky, Eugene Onegin), Princess (Dargomyzhsky, Rusalka), Laura (Dargomyzhsky, The Stone Guest), Lubava (Rimsky-Korsakov, Sadko), Ulrica (Verdi, Un ballo in maschera), Orsini (Donizetti, Lucrezia Borgia), Alcina (Handel, Alcina), Orpheus (Gluck Orpheus and Eurydice), Siebel (Gounod, Faust), Dido (Purcell, Dido and Aeneas), Marcelline (Mozart, The Marriage of Figaro), Azucena (Verdi, Il Trovatore), Carmen (Bizet, Carmen), Maddalena (Verdi, Rigoletto), viola (Pergolesi, Stabat Mater).
Svetlana holds the 3rd prize of the Moscow Open Festival of Academic Solo Singing “Tribute to Chaliapin” (Moscow, 2014), IV Students Contest “Victory Day” (Moscow, 2015), 3rd prize of the III Natalia Schpiller All-Russian Vocal Competition (Moscow, 2016), 1st prize of the IV International Competition “Silver Lira” (Penza, 2016), 1st prize of the III Taneev All-Russian Open Festival-Competition (Moscow, 2017).
In 2017 she entered the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre.
