It is already the fourth season that the Opera Centre presents the "Young Opera Singers Assemblies" offering masterclasses by conductors, stage directors, opera coaches as well as gala concerts by young singers in collaboration with other Young Opera Singers Academies of the major international theatres.
Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singers Competition was first held in Moscow in year 2006 at the initiative of the world-famous singer and immediately was declared to be a truly major event, not only in Russia but also in the World musical culture.
The Young Opera Singers Assemblies' project was conceived by the founder and artistic director of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre and Maestro Placido Domingo while they have been working together in the jury of the ‘Operalia’ Competition in July 2011, Moscow.
This project was developed jointly by Elena Oparkova, Director of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre, Jean-Louis Gavatorte, curator of classical and contemporary music of Culturesfrance, and Emmanuel Hondre, Director of Cite de la Musique in Paris.
On the 6th of May the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre presented with a great success the premiere of the music drama "The People's war is going on" dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war (the 2nd World War).

In February a group of lead singers from LA SCALA, Milan, performed on the stage of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre in Moscow at the start of the Italian Season in Russia - a major international project sponsored by the Russian President and Italian Prime Minister.
On 5th 2004, the leading soloists of Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre will take part in this biggest interethnic project. Natalia Bobrova, Okana Komievskaya, Natalia Levitina, Oksana Lesnichnaya, Irina Oknina, Uryi Baranov, Iliya Pavlov will present the Russian opera art.
There has always existed a dialogue between the two cultures - Italian and Russian. Italy has remained a Mecca for Russian artists whatever genre they work for. Masterpieces created in Russia inspired by the images of Italy are impossible to calculate.
